1. Who we are

Tivvy is operated by Better Day Works. Privacy questions can be sent to betterdayworks@gmail.com.

2. Information we handle

Without an account, kitchen settings, meal plans and recipes are stored on your device. With an account, we store your email, kitchen preferences, meal plans, shopping activity, recipes, household membership, plan tier and feedback so your kitchen can sync. Recipe imports may send text or an image for extraction; scanned images are not retained after processing.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to provide meal planning, sync shared kitchens, create shopping lists, process requested recipe tools, keep the service secure and improve Tivvy through feedback. Device preferences and notification choices stay on that device.

4. Notifications

Tip notifications are off by default. If you opt in, your browser stores your permission, chosen time and the last notification date. Tivvy checks this preference when the app is available on your device. You can turn notifications off in My Kitchen or your device settings.

5. Sharing and storage

We do not sell personal information. Household members can see information in their shared kitchen. Trusted hosting and service providers process data only to operate Tivvy, and information may be stored outside your country with reasonable safeguards. We may disclose information when required by law.

6. Retention and security

We keep account data while your account is active and aim to delete it within 30 days of a verified request, unless law requires longer retention. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including under POPIA or the UK/EU GDPR, you may ask to access, correct, delete or export your information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email betterdayworks@gmail.com. You may also complain to the South African Information Regulator or your local data protection authority.

8. Content and takedowns

If user-submitted content contains your personal information or infringes your rights, email betterdayworks@gmail.com with its location and your request. We will review it and may restrict or remove it.

9. Updates

We may update this policy as Tivvy changes. The latest revision date appears above.
